Former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, who underwent an open heart surgery at a private hospital in Bangalore, will be discharged in three to four days.
According to Dr C N Manjunath, who is Kumaraswamy’s brother-in-law, the former CM is  recovering
fast and is also taking a light walk in the hospital. He is spending most of his time watching TV and reading.
“We are restricting visitors to avoid strain. Only his family members and VIPs are allowed to meet him. He will be discharged from the hospital in three to four days. The exact date will be decided after reviewing his progress,” he stated.
Kumaraswamy underwent a valve replacement surgery on December 20.
However, he will not be able to indulge in the hustle and bustle of politics for at least a month. “He has to take rest for at least three to four weeks after discharge. He will have post surgical pain and has to overcome it,” Dr Manjunath said.
