A man jumped to death from the ninth floor of High Point building, in High Grounds police station, on Thursday afternoon. He has been identified as Madesh (26), a native of Kuteganahalli in Anekal taluk. Madesh has left a three-page suicide note. Preliminary investigations reveal Madesh was involved in a love affair.
Lankan goes missing
A Sri Lankan national has gone missing in the City since December 23. Armugam Perumal (75) had come to India along with his family members.
He was staying at his son-in-law A G Thyananathajothy’s house on Lavelle Road. According to his son-in-law, Perumal went to a nearby shop, but return returned. He is 5 feet, two inches tall and is dark complexioned. Information on Perumal can be given to the Cubbon Park police station.
Bank on fire
A fire broke out at Laxmivilas Co-operative Bank on BVK Iyengar Road on Thursday. According to fire force personnel, some records were reduced to ashes.
