Abhinava Arts Centre presents Nrithyarpana, an evening of Bharatanatyam by Shamita Raj, disciple of dancer duo Nirupama and Rajendra at 6.30 pm on friday, December 28. The event will be held at Ambedkar Bhavan on Millers road, Vasanthnagar.

Nandhi Bharathanatya Kalasala organises Nandhi Utsav on December 29, with a dance performance by Guru Geethalakshmi, disciple of Guru Manickam Pillai and Guru Kittappa Pillai at Gurunanak Bhavan, Jasma Bhavan road, off Queen’s road, behind Sri Mahaveer Jain Hospital, Vasanthnagar from 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm.

The Indian Institute of World Culture is organising the Dharmaprakasha L S Venkaji Rao Memorial Endowment dance programme, ‘’ Bharatha Natyam And Kathak’’ which includes Bharatanatyam by Prakash Naidu and Kathak by Sankhya Phadnis. The performance is on January 2 at 5.30 at 8 pm at the Institute premises, No 6 Sir BP Wadia Road, Basavanagudi.

Guru Revathi Narasimhan’s (of Natya Niketan) disciple, Nirupama Annadanam’s Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha will be conducted on December 30 at 6.30 pm at JSS Auditorium, Shivarathreeswara Centre, 1st main, 8th block, Jayanagar.

Nadajyothi Thyagaraja Swamy Bhajana Sabha organises Ananya Yuvotsava on December 29 and 30 at Ananya Sabhangana, GML Cultural Academy, No 91/2, 4th Main raod, Malleswaram.
The event will be inaugurated at 5.30 pm and will include a musical performance by Srivarshini R Prasad (vocal), H S Keshavaprasad (violin), N S Mahesh (mrudanga) and Bhargava Halambi (khanjeera) on Saturday and one by Mysore V Vamshidhar (flute), B Lakshmi (violin), B S Anand (mrudanga) and B R Sathavalli (morching) on Sunday.

Rajamahal Vilas Sangeetha Sabha to hold their Monthly Music Concert on sunday, December 30 from 5.30 pm at Raghothaman Memorial Building, above post office, Sanjaynagar, RMV extension, 2nd stage.
The performers include N Rajkamal on flute, Mathur R Sreenidhi on violin, K U Jayachandra Rao on mrudanga and G. Guruprasanna on Khanjari.

Associated Amateur Artistes will be staging the play in Kannada “Enmadokkeagutte” (What can be done?) on January 6 at 6:45 pm at Dr H N Kalakshetra, National College, Jayanagar.
