If you want to show you care and express your solidarity with our soldiers, join Sankalp India Foundation in ‘Mission Siachen’ by sending them a token of love and appreciation on Republic Day.
The foundation has prepared hand made postcards where you can pen a message of goodwill or just sign as a goodwill gesture and send your  personalised message for the Indian Army.
These postcards will be delivered to about 4000 soldiers posted at the glacier on January 26.
Volunteers of the foundation will be at Garuda Mall, Forum and Big Bazaar (Hebbal) from 1 to 6 pm on December 29 handing out the postcards.
Slum-dwellers’ protest ends
More than 200 families staying at the Chikkabommasandra slum near Judges’ colony in Yelahanka New Town withdrew their protest after the assurances made by the Karnataka State Slum Clearance Board Commissioner Ashok on Friday.
 They had been staging a protest since Thursday morning, demanding the Board allot the houses built under The Centre’s Valmiki Ambedkar Awas Yojna.
