ELECTED REPS MEET
Devt, security must be BJP mantra
DH News Service,Madikeri:
Development and national security should be the mantra of BJP, said Hindu Jagarana Vedike State Convener Jagadish Karanth.

Speaking at a conference of elected representatives of the party, held under the aegis of Madikeri Assembly Constituency BJP Unit, here on Friday, he said the whole nation had admitted that development had greater role behind the victory of BJP in Gujarat.
Development and national security should go hand-in-hand. BJP leaders should consider this aspect seriously, he advised.
BJP is not just an organisation. Nobody should forget that there is an organised work-force behind it. We are just the branches of this mighty tree. Not individual can destabilise this tree. Uttar Pradesh is the best example to show how the party collapses if the person gets power forget his roots and rules with vanity, Mr Karanth analysed.
He warned that nobody should humiliate the poor and hurt their feelings. No one should be blind in illusions. If someone develops vanity during power, it becomes his own tomb ultimately, he stated. Quoting the statement of Union Home Minister Shivaraj Patil who said coastal belt was becoming the hide-out for terrorists, he said when the coast did not have proper security, was there any guarantee that Talibans would not creep into Indian territories.
Kodagu is being described as southern Kashmir. But one should also whether it is Kashmir in social angle too. Both Kodagu and Dakshina Kannada are equally unsecured in terms of their social face, he observed.
Congress is being deteriorated in the country that hesitated to punish the betrayers and tries to woe people of a specific community. The party is experiencing the curse of splitting Hindu-Muslims into two different parties, he criticised.
Hindu Jagarana Vedike Chikmagalur Organising Secretary Pranesh, former MLA K G Bopaiah, BJP district unit chief Sunil Subramani, General Secretary Shanteyanda Ravi Kushalappa, talkuk unit president Bellu Somaiah, Taluk Panchayat President Napanda Kalappa and others were present.
