Nach Baliye 3 had a dream ending, what with the runners up claiming the contest was rigged and all. Now lets turn our attention to Haaku, Hejje Haaku, a dance show where the participants are stars of the big and small screens. Divided into two parts —Get Set and The Show, the programme showcases hitherto hidden dancing skills of some of the favourite stars. The participants here will be pairs or single entrants whose skills will be tested on various themes including folk, classical, film songs, fusion, non-filmy and modern dance.
The show which began on December 22 has six curtain raiser episodes through which the selection takes place. The participants’ elevation process is based on viewers’ choice voting, either through IVR or via sms
Four top dancing pairs will be eligible for the finals and the pair collecting most marks will be declared winners. The winners will get a cash prize too.
While The Show is telecast every Saturday between 9.30 and 10 pm, Get Set is telecast every Sunday between 8.30 and 9. With extended college vacation, a young audience will surely add more varied techniques to their dance repertoire.
Both have experience hosting chat shows on television, one more so. Both share their first names. But their similarities end here. For Karan Johar and Karan Thapar are as different as chalk and cheese. Or are they? To find out. Thapar is switching places on his popular show the Devil’s Advocate on CNBC to be the interviewee while the young movie mogul takes charge of the show. Don’t miss this unforgettable tête-à-tête with two of the wittiest and sharpest minds on Indian TV. Sunday, December 30 at 8:30 pm.
