It has been in the country for quite sometime now. Restaurants in business hotels and a few upmarket restaurant are fully-equipped to cater for a corporate breakfast. The lounges are fitted with televisions, telephones and fax machines and have a variety of national and international newspapers.
The term Power breakfast originated in the US and was used to define a breakfast where people in power held business discussions ahead of the working day in an informal setting, perhaps over breakfast.
Discussing business over the first meal of the day definitely has its advantages. For one, the mind is fresh and alert and the mood generally bright and cheerful with optimism running high. The whole idea of a power breakfast is to provide personalised service to the corporate traveller who has no time to waste -- it's quick, efficient, sumptuous and business-like.
“An Indian breakfast is largely vegetarian. South Indian breakfast menu of Idli-vada-sambhar, dosa, upma and poori is popular across the country”, says Venkatesh Bhat, CEO and Corporate Master Chef of South Indies Restaurants.
A lot of the South Indian vegetarian lovers usually make do with the regular small South Indian restaurants. This is just not it. Golden brown crisp dosas, not too big and not too papery are mouth watering!
