Woman murdered in broad daylight
DH News Service, Malur:
The thieves slashed away the throat of a woman and decamped with the gold in broad daylight at Maruthi extension on Saturday.

The woman who is murdered is Lakshmi (45). The incident came to light at 1.30 pm. Lakshmi’s daughter saw the body of her mother laying in a pool of blood, after she came back from the college. Lakshmi’s husband Srihari was also unaware of the fact. He had been to work as usual in the morning.

The murderers have made away with valuables and jewellry. Though the neighbourers heard of some outcry at 10 am, nobody turned up as they sensed no danger.

Tension prevailed in the region as the extension was a crowded one and there was a house above the house, which was given for rent too.

The police have registered a case. Forensic experts and dog squad visited the spot. Further investigation is on.
