Rajnath to not attend swearing-in
DH News Service ,New Delhi:

Why is BJP President Rajnath Singh not attending the swearing-in ceremony of the new Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister PK Dhumal on Sunday?

While the BJP’s prime-ministerial candidate L K Advani has already left for Shimla, Singh is staying behind. Singh had attended Modi’s swearing-in ceremony at Ahmedabad on December 25.

But the question doing the rounds in the BJP camp is whether there are “new equations” in the party after Modi’s victory in Gujarat.

“Since all the leaders are leaving for the hill state, somebody will have to stay behind to attend the Ramsetu rally in New Delhi, organised by the Setu Samiti and the VHP,” BJP sources said.

The sources also said bad weather in Shimla may prevent an early return from Shimla, thereby,  the party president decided to stay back. Not many are convinced.
