Raghu ‘tricks in Mars big win
Raghu Kumar scored a hat-trick as Bangalore Mars blanked Bangalore Independent 6-0 in the ‘C’ Division football league at the 515 ABW grounds on Saturday.
Raghu found the target in the 20th, 21st and 26th minutes of the match while Antony (39th), Vinod (61st) and Kamal Hasan (70th) netted one goal apiece.
BIC emerge champions
Bangalore Institute of Cricket (BIC) came up with a splendid all-round effort to down Bangalore Blues by five wickets to win the Chakrapani Cup State-level inivitational cricket tournament (under-15) at GKVK ground on Saturday.
At first, BIC bundled out Blues for 190 in 39 overs with Tejas (3-19) turning the wrecker-in-chief though Samarth R fought spiritedly for Blues with an 85-run knock.
In reply, BIC coasted to victory in 38 overs with Arun Pondey (50 n.o.), Aman Raj (49) and Rakshith (48) contributing well to the successful chase.

Florence Public School triumphs
Florence Public School scored a facile five-wicket win over Chennai team Kedar Cricket Acdemy to claim the under-13 title for the Pepsi Cup in the Imtiaz Ahmed Cricket Academy-conducted cricket tournament.After restricting Kedar for a modest 104 for six in 30 overs, Florence reached the target in 28.2 overs.
In the under-16 category, Imtiaz Ahmed Cricket Academy got the better of Kedar Cricket Academy by 17 runs. IACA posted 138/7 in the stipulated 30 overs and they skittled out their rivals for 121 in 29 overs. Kiran Mathew and Gajendra took three wickets apiece for IACA to the set up the thrilling victory.

JP School Cricket Academy entered the title round of Thyagarajan memorial under-14 cricket tournament with a 47-run win over SVCA in the semifinal on Saturday.
JP School CA will meet JP Nagar Sports Club, who got the better of JP Nagar Cricket Academy by 53 runs, in the final.
