Trees give way for underpass
The civic agencies’ efforts to ease traffic density in the City has resulted in felling two more trees. BBMP workers on Sunday brought down two fully grown trees near Cauvery Junction for the construction of an underpass on Sankey Road.
BBMP Officials said a few more trees located on the road would be chopped in the coming weeks for constructing a service road.
“We preferred to cut the trees as the traffic density is less on Sundays,” said an official.
