‘Chinnara Chittara’ today
Tumkur, DHNS: The Department of Kannada and Culture, Kuncha Brahma P R Thippeswamy Kala Sanga, Shilpa Cultural and Fine Arts Academy, J D School of Art, together have organised “Chinnara Chittara” and a fine art exhibition on Monday.

Also, at the same time, Pratibha Puraskara and Abhinandana programme have been organised, as a part of the event.

The programmes will be inaugurated by the President of the Kuncha Brahma Kala Sangha M P Goutham at 5.30 pm. Baburao Kundagol of Ravindra Kalaniketana will preside over the programme. K Ashok, Dr Muralidhar, Prakash Adalagere and M C Kumar will be felicitated on the occasion.

One killed in accident
Gubbi, DHNS: A driver died on the spot when the tractor he was riding, collided head-on into a private bus at Mattighatta near Gubbi on Saturday midnight. The school children of M M A Kaval School were on a trip to Dharmasthala, in the private bus, when the accident took place. The driver has been identified as Manjunath (20). Luckily, the children are safe. Gubbi Circle Inspector Vijaykumar is investigating the case.
