Former legislator and CPI(M) Secretary G V Sriram Reddy has blamed that BJP, JD(S) and Congress parties have resorted to divide and rule policy and ignored the development of the State.
Addressing the public gathering organised by CPI(M) at the party’s district level meet held recently here , he said, “Instead of looking into the development issues, these capitalist political parties have resorted to other means to win votes. They are using real estate, mines and money power to divide the public on the basis of caste and religion,” he said.
CPI(M) has always been addressing the problems of people and fighting for their rights, be it ration cards to the poor or support price for the crops of farmers, he said. “Strengthen CPI(M) so as to enable the party to serve you better,” he told the gathering.
CPI(M) taluk secretary Siddhalingappa said that political parties have thrown all values and principles into the air and are only focussed on serving their own interests. Party state secretary G N Nagaraj said that the Left has been successful in implementing National Employment Guarantee Scheme. Leftist parties have always opposed price hike of petrol, diesel and LPG. They have been fighting against FDI in public sector industries and retail industry, in the interest of the common man, he said.
V J K Nair, Arjun, Venkataswamy Reddy, narayanaswamy, Geetha, Siddhu, C C Ashwatthappa, Ravichandra Reddy and Anudi Nagaraj were present on the occasion.
