The government’s support is needed for the development of homoeopathy medicine system, stated Karnataka Homoeopathy Medicine System Board President Dr Veerabramhachari.
Speaking after inaugurating the state-level Homoeopathic Seminar-2007 here on Sunday, he urged the government to construct 25-bed homoeopathy hospitals in all districts of the State. It should construct 10-bed hospitals in all taluks and open clinics at hobli level, he demanded.
The government’s support is essential to reach homoeopathy medicine to every citizen of the country.
Doctors should not depend upon the government for facilities and should strive for the development of this system as it is growing slowly in the country, he said.
“There is only one government homoeopathy college in the State, while the remaining 12 are private colleges. A total of 9,000 homoeopathy doctors are there in the State, of which 4,000 doctors are practising in other states. There are about 2.6 lakh homoeopathy doctors in the country. But, the government has established only few homoeopathic hospitals,” he said.
