Former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, who underwent an open-heart surgery at Wockhardt hospital recently, returned home on Sunday.
From the hospital, Mr Kumaraswamy along with his wife Anita Kumaraswamy went to Adichunchanagiri Math in Vijayanagar.
He offered special pooja to Gangadhareshwara Swami, Parvati Devi and Ganesha and sought blessings of Balagangadharanatha swami.
Speaking to press persons on the occasion, he said, he will enter into active politics after taking rest for a few days. Replying to a question, he said there was nothing special in visiting the Mutt.
“I wanted to seek the blessings of the swamiji for my speedy recovery and lead the party for the coming elections”, he said.
Later he went to his elder sister’s residence in Padmanabhanagar, where he will be taking rest for a month’s time.
Mr Kumaraswamy was admitted to Wockhardt hospital on December 17 and underwent an open-heart surgery for valve replacement on December 21.
