Anjanappa, a D Group worker at the general hospital in the town, was forced by the doctor and the nurse to shift to another hospital in Kolar and refused to treat her.
Later, when Anjanappa pleaded to treat his daughter-in-law, they asked a bribe of Rs 800 and later on Rs 400 was again forced from him, he stated in his complaint.
Anjanappa later told his problem to the ambulance driver and Nagaraj, taluk state government employees’ association Vice president. But when Nagaraj contacted Dr Manjunathaswamy, he did not agree, he added.
Later, Anjanappa had to take her in a private vehicle, he added.
Anjanappa, in his complaint has also condemned the step-motherly attitude of the staff in the hospital in treating D group workers.
