The second slot saw Srikanth V and Samarth H from Sri Kumaran Children's Home scoring 56 points. Akshath A and Karthukeyan M from Vijaya Composite Pre University stood third with 50 points. The three teams will be caled to Jamshedpur for the grand finale.
The mega quiz is scheduled to take place later this year in the Steel City, genesis ground of Tata Steel. The winning team won a cash prize of Rs 2500 each followed by Rs 1500 for the team that stood second and the team which came third received a cash prize of Rs 1000 each.
Students were quizzed by ace quiz master Giri Balasubramaniam covering diverse subjects like general knowledge, sports, history, geography and science.
The chief guest for the occasion V N Subba Rao, Chairman, Karnataka Media Academy gave away awards to the winning teams and praised the participants for their enthusiasm and knowledge.
The Bangalore section of the Tata Steel Centenary Quiz received an overwhelming response from the school children in Bangalore with almost 233 teams participating in the preliminary round of which only six teams were selected for the final round.
