Day out for physically challenged children

It was a joyous day for the physically challenged.

They danced, sang songs, played  and showcased their talents on a platform at Lions Seva Mandira on Monday.
Various competitions were organised for the physically challenged children by the Department of Public Instruction and other organisations.

Akshatha and Sachin Gunavanthe of Kodur won prizes in musical chair competition, Roshan and Anusha in throwing ball into a bucket, Vinootha and Alemane Sandesha in drawing, Nishanth and Akshatha in tri cycle competition.

Tricycles, spectacles, other aids were distributed to the physically challenged children.

Speaking on the occasion, Taluk Panchayat Standing Committee President K B Shankar said “we should find reason for disability in a scientific manner.”

In the valedictory, ZP Member S N Ramaswamy distributed souvenir ‘Belaku’ and distributed prizes to the winners.
