Global consulting and outsourcing firm Accenture, on Wednesday, said it planned to set up four management consulting centres in India, employing about 2,000 to offer full range of services to its domestic and overseas clients.
Accenture has opened its first Management Consulting Centre of Excellence in Gurgaon and would set up similar ones in Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai in the next one year. “We aim to have as many as 2,000 consultants in our centres across India by end of our fiscal year next August,” Accenture Group Chief Executive for Management Consulting & Integrated Markets Mark Foster told reporters here.
Global aspect
He said the centres would have professionals from nearly 50 different backgrounds- engineers, economists, analysts, statisticians, college graduates- as well as experts from industries like banking, utilities, travel and business.
The company has 15,000 management consultants around the world and it would be adding another 4,000-5,000 globally by August next year, including 2000 in India. It is looking to double number of consultants globally in next 3 years.
