M Naresh (27), the bridegroom, performed all the rituals lined up on the eve of the marriage. After complaining of uneasiness, he was shifted to the hospital where he later breathed his last,according to police.

Naresh was running a medical shop and was supposed to tie the knot during Makara lagna at 10.30 am on Wednesday, with a Mysore-based girl.

Sources said that four years ago, the deceased was attacked by jaundice and during this time, he lost his kidneys. One of his brothers is said to have donated the kidneys.

The boy's side had not hidden any information about the health condition, sources added.
