JD (S) meet tomorrow
Bangalore, DHNS:  The JD(S) will convene a meeting of its former legislators and district unit presidents on December 7. Party spokesperson Y S V Datta said the senior party leaders, after consulting the district unit presidents, will decide on their State-wide tour as a preparation for Assembly elections. Meanwhile, JD(S) has decided to appoint a new president to its Mysore district unit following the resignation of Devaraju, who has announced that he would join the BJP.

Elephant electrocuted
HD Kote, DHNS:  A female elephant was electrocuted in Moleyur forest range in Bandipur National Park. It was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a field belonging to Raju, son of Siddegowda, in Hirehalli Thekkalu village. Forester Kantharaju told Deccan Herald the 20-year-old elephant died after it came in contact with electric fence around the field.
