S M Krishna's entry to State politics is welcome: Kharge
DH News Service, Tumkur:
Mr Kharge says it is the unanimous decision of all the members to strengthen the Congress party. All of us are ready to fight as a single entity.

There are  no qualms about giving the responsibility of building the Congress party to anybody. The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) welcomes whoever is given this responsibility of building  the Congress party and there is no issue of anybody questioning this decision, said KPCC President  Mr Mallikarjuna  Kharge here.

He was speaking to reporters at HMS College in Tumkur on Friday, on his way to attend the Janandolana convention in Chitradurga.

All prepared
Mr Kharge further stated that the Congress party was all prepared to face the elections, whenever the Election Commission decided to hold the elections.

Unanimous decision
Speaking about the possibilities of Mr S M Krishna’s return to the State politics, Mr Kharge said, it is the unanimous decision of all the members to strengthen the Congress party. All of us are ready to fight as a single entity.

The objective behind Janandolana was to create awareness among the general public and election campaign.
Hence, whoever the High Command chooses to entrust the responsibility of strengthening the party, that persons bears the responsibility, he added.

And this would have the support of all the Congressmen, Mallikarjun Kharge  explained.

To a question - if Mr S M Krishna was handed over the party’s leadership responsibility - Mr Kharge replied that whoever may it be - who would bear the leadership responsibility, everybody welcomed it, he added.

Former chief minister Mr Dharam Singh and other Congress leaders were present on  the occasion.
