In a press release, Veerashaiva Mahasabha Youth unit S Kantharaju has said that, 'If we have hurt the sentiments of Okkaliga community, we would apologise'.
The Okkaligara Vedike had condemned that during the time of bundh, some people behaved in a way that had brought disgrace to the community, as reported earlier.
The Veerashaiva Mahasabha Youth unit has said that almost all organisations had extended their support for the bundh and justified that at the time of bundh they only condemned political viewpoints.
‘If at all someone has hurt the sentiments of a particular community, then we tender an apology on behalf of Nagarika Samithi’, Mr Kantharaju said.
