Dharma is not merely a religion

 “No quarrel should take place between a true hindu, true Muslim and a true Christian,” said Managing Trustee of Kshethropasana Trust Prof Prema Panduranganji.

Speaking at the second day of platinum jubilee celebration of Sarvadharma and Sahitya Sammelana in Dharmasthala, she said it is important to have desires and empathy for others which itself is the real dharma. Service must be the part and parcel of our lives, she added.

Maheshwaranandapuri Maharaj of Haridwar in his inaugural address said “dharma is not merely a religion but it is the soul within us and we must explore that soul with in us. Every act that we perform should reflect our culture and so is the lamp lighted at the inauguration.”

Union Labour Minister Oscar Fernandes, ex-president of Jamayat E-Islamic Hind, New Delhi Maulana Muhammad Shirajul Hasan, President of Bharatha Varshiya Digambara Jaina Theertha Kshethra N K Sethi and Jayatheerthacharya Malagi were the chief guests.

Sree Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade welcomed the gathering and Rudset Janardhan proposed a vote of thanks.
