Five unique tricycles fitted with mobile telephone (PCO) were presented to five physically handicapped persons in order to help them earn their livelihood. This was a service activity by the Lions Club of Bangalore from Lions District 324 D 1 and it was arranged as part of its regional meet held recently.
The Lions also presented 50 sewing machines to needy women who are all trained in tailoring.
The Lions Clubs in Lions District 324 D 1 have so far presented 200 sewing machines to the needy this year.
Rs 5.50 lakh was also donated by the Lions District 324 D 1 towards construction of class rooms at government school in Kethamaranahalli in Rajajinagar.
