Utsava to begin from Feb 13
Tumkur,dhns: Sri Anjeenaiyya Swamy’s Rathostava will have a grand start on the 13 of the this month at Holvanhalli in Kortgere Taluk. This was announced in a press release by the Muzrai department.
The itenary for the celebrations is Flag hoisting on the 11, Gajendra Moksha and cultural fest on 12, and rahmaratostva and mailige ratostava on the 13.
14 night will see Shayanotasava, 15 evening will host Vasanthtostava, davanostava and Uyyalotstava. On 16 ashvarohana, 17 morning is Pallaki Utsava, and evening is Sheshavahanotsava.
18 th night will host Hanumanthostava, 19 morning is the utsava and evening is Garudostava, 20 is Gajarohana, 21 is Mahabisheka and 22 is Mantapostava.
Office-bearers elected
Turuvekere,dhns: A meeting of the Taluk Physical Instructors association was held at Sarswathi Junior College premises and new working committee was elected unanimously.
M Thimmaiaha was elected as the honourary president, C H Thimappa was elected as the president, Jayaramaiaha Kondajji, Chennigarayappa HullekerFathim Khan Nagalapure, as vice presidents.S K Thomas was elected the secretary.
Among the other officerbearers elected include Chandraiaha as Assistant secretary, Bolarappa will take charge as the treasurer. Shivanna, Ninge Gowda, Padmaraju and Jayanna were elected as directors.
Plays to be staged
Chowta Prathishtana Manjeshwara and Dasajana Mangalore, will organise theatre show by the renowed troupe Rangabharathi from Hoovinahadagali, Bellary at Canara College premises on February 10 and 11. On February 10, at 6.30 pm, the troupe will stage Dr Chandrashekar Kumbara’s ‘Mahamayi’ and on February 11, ‘Shambho Shiva Shankara’ will be staged.
