Widex, based in Denmark will soon launch its digital micro hearing aid and Autopod in Mangalore, said Widex India Managing Head T S Anand.

Speaking at a press meet, he said the micro hearing aid which is invisible and placed behind the ear meets the cosmetic requirements of the people.
The cost of this hearing aid ranges from Rs 55,000 to Rs 1 lakh. Autopod, which is a potable bluetooth audiometer is also being launched simultaneously.
This equipment, which will of much help for the doctors, costs about Rs 1.5 lakh.
These hearing aids are available at M V Shetty College of Speech and Hearing, Mangalore; KMC, Mangalore and Manipal Academy of Allied Health Sciences, Manipal. Widex Denmark export manager Michael Westermann was present.
