Guv’s nod for, honorary PhDs

Dharwad, DHNS:  Governor Rameshwar Thakur has given his approval to confer honorary doctorate degrees on four persons including Dr S C Sharma, principal of RVCE College, Bangalore, at the 58th annual convocation of the Karnatak University, Dharwad to be held on February 13.

Honorary doctorate degrees will also be conferred on Mr Prabhakar B Kore, chairman, KLE Society, Belgaum, Dr (Ms) Sarojini Mahishi, former union minister and Dr Goverdhan Mehta, chairman, NAAC and former director of Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore.

4-day training programme

Bangalore, DHNS:  Bhaktivedanta Academy for Sustainable Integrated Living, the training division of Eco Agri Research Foundation, Mysore, will organise a four-day training programme on organic and bio-dynamic farming systems from February 13 to 16 at it centre at Mahadevapura village in Mysore.
Peter Proctor, Director, Biodynamic Outreach, New Zealand and India and Rachel Pomeroy, international consultant, biodynamic agriculture and astronomy will conduct the training programme.
