Tahsildar V Prasanna who inaugurated the  camp complimented the students of Department of Social Welfare for having selected the most backward villages in the taluk.

He called upon the students not only understand the problems of the villagers but also submit complaints to the respective departments or offices in regard to their complaints.

The students should organise awareness programmes on education, hygiene, a clean environment and right to information among the people, he added.

Taluk JD(S) President T Ramappa, who presided said that the students should take a prominent part in bringing awareness in social, economic and educational areas.
