People’s contact programme in rural villages is nothing but the decentralisation of administration, said Jilla Krishika Samaja President K N Gopala Hegde.
Speaking at the people’s contact programme organised by Adarsha Raitha Mithra Koota and Taluk Krishika Samaja, at Mashige village in Sringeri, he said by listening to the grievances of the people at the village level, they understand the problems at the grass root level.
Zilla Panchayat member H R Krishnamurthy said authorities should give priority to drinking water, road.
Villagers submitted a memorandum urging to solve the problem of drinking water, road, disruption in the supply of electricity.
Gram Panchayat President Hoskere Gopalakrishna presided over the programme.
