Kidman’s swimsuit worth 9 Indian cows
A swimsuit left at a Swedish pool by Australian movie star Nicole Kidman was sold at auction to buy cows for poor families in India, AFP reports from Stockholm. “The swimsuit went to the highest bidder for US$ 2,500. That’s enough to buy nine cows,” the suit’s previous owner Zlatko Nedanovski said.
Kidman, a keen swimmer, forgot the suit at the southwestern town of Vaenersborg during her 2002 stay in Sweden to shoot Lars von Trier’s Dogville.
Spacewalk postponed
A planned Sunday spacewalk to attach an expansion to the orbiting International Space Station (ISS) has been postponed to Monday due to unspecified “health issues”, officials at the US space agency NASA announced, DPA reports from Washington.
The spacewalk by astronauts aboard the Space Shuttle Atlantis, docked late Saturday with the ISS, has been rescheduled. A NASA spokesman refused to clarify the nature of the health issue or identify any astronaut suffering problems.

The New Joy of Sex, to hit the stalls in September, is a modern take on the original and attempts to replicate the 1972 cover of a semi-clad woman in the embrace of a hirsute seventies man who this time is beardless, The Observer reported on Sunday.
“It has been completely updated. This new version not only includes factual information, but many new subjects have been added,” said Jane Smith, marketing and publicity head of Mitchell Beazley.
1,200 workers go on strike
Over 1,200 workers, most of them Indians, of a major construction company in Bahrain went on strike demanding better pay packages and adequate facilities for themselves, PTI reports from Dubai.
