The installation of city’s second biggest Lord Shiva idol adds yet another interesting facet for tourism in the State. This 26-ft huge idol is the result of work spanning six months. It is sculpted in the form of ‘Dhyanamudre’ and is situated at the right side of Sri Veeranjaneya Temple at Koodlu’s Maruthi Extension, Hosur Road. Till now, the Shiva’s idol at Kemp Fort on Airport Road was the only biggest idol in the City. The speciality of the new idol is that it has been built using cement-concrete mixture. It is a dream come true project for industrialist R Prabhakhara Reddy and Deepa. Installation of Lord Eshwara, the ‘Sri Atirudra Yaaga’ will be held till February 21.
