The CoD police from Hubli reportedly picked up a person for inquiry over his suspected links with terrorist outfits in Nimbegundi village of Shikaripur taluk on Sunday.

It is said a five-member special team of CoD police, which came in a four-wheeler on Sunday afternoon, took Jafar Saab (35), son of Nazir Saab, with them. Jafar is a carpenter who used to frequently visit his in-laws at Honnali.
Based on the revelations of terror suspects - Mohammed Ghouse and Asadullah - Jafar was picked up.

It is suspected Jafar might have come in contact with the duo during his visit to Honnali. Cases related to dowry harassment and theft have been registered against Jafar with the local police.

However, family members of Jafar were confused over the incident and even the local police are not aware of the same.
