It’s good news for Bangalore’s music lovers. Furtados, a reputed music instrument store, launched a first of its kind, exclusive piano showroom in the City. Tucked away in the lanes of Gandhinagar, the sophisticated showroom boasts of world’s leading brands Steinway, Boston, Essex, Yamaha, B Steiner, Ritmuller, Pearl River and Viscount.
Be it acoustic or digital pianos, the showroom has a wide range in the offing. While the acoustic pianos here are priced anywhere between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 10 lakh, the digital ones are priced between Rs 50,000 and Rs 3 lakh.
The store also offers a wide range of music books and printed sheet music.
From classical and modern music pieces, drums, TV themes, gospel songs, hard rock, children’s songs, to how to play a saxophone among others, you can pick books that suit your interest.

“The store is a humble tribute to the music lovers of Bangalore. We wanted to bring to Bangalore some of the best piano brands at affordable prices,” said Managing Director of Furtados Music Ltd, Phillip Rodrigues. At Furtados, we also constantly work towards creating musical appreciation and promoting music talent, he added.
In this regard, the store plans to host music clinics, seminars, workshops and concerts. “We have been initiating and sponsoring events and hope to do the same in Bangalore,” he said. The store also intends to find the right music teachers for students and has invited interested persons to register with them.
Striking Furtados’ opening note in Bangalore, Jazz artiste Louis Banks said that by providing world-class instruments, Furtados was being instrumental in motivating youngsters to take to music.
