He was speaking at the Consumers Meet organised by the Pragati Grameen Bank at Ronuru village in Srinivaspur taluk.
“Pragati champ a new scheme has been launched by the bank to help the children in their education”, said Hiremath who presided over the over the meet.
“Special gifts will given to children who are below the age of 14 years and open an account with Rs 100 in the bank,” expressed Hiremath who said that gifts are being given to inculcate saving habit among children.
Briefing people about various scheme he said that students who save up to Rs 1500 in rural areas and Rs 2000 in urban areas in a year will later be given a education loan up to Rs 4 lakh after their PUC.
Stree Shakti associations were given financial assistance and cheques were also distributed to the beneficiaries by the Insurance company on the occasion.
The student account scheme was also flagged of the on same the occasion.
United India Insurance Company’s official Sampangi, Pragati Grameen Bank’s local bank Manager M R Manjunath, AOB Raghupathi, Kotraguli Venkatarama Reddy, Vekata Reddy, Sundarmurty, Ramesh Reddy and others were presen.
