Kudrus without connectivity
DH News Service, Brahmavara:

Nandanakudru, Ramannakudru, Shetrakudru and Sahebrakudru areas near the Brahmavara -Barkur connectivity bridge till date have no connectivity to other areas at all.

The local residents voluntarily laid a temporary mud road at a cost of Rs 2 lakh providing connectivity from Brahmavara to Neelavara.

Apart from this, no amount was ever sanctioned at the Government level for any roads.

Since there is no connectivity to the regions at all, the students and other commuters have to walk their way to the main road.

The local residents had provided enough land to lay roads so that bigger vehicles could ply but unfortunately when the people’s representatives failed to even build a mini bridge to Kudru region, the road for bigger vehicles remained unrealized dream for the people here.

Two half built mini bridges built 10 years ago are in a deplorable condition. The local residents who are fed up of the system have now decided to boycott the elections this year.

Nandanakudru, which was once had wonderful fertile cultivation lands, today floods with little rainfall as the river is filled with sand due to the vented dam, railway bridge and Barkur bridge.

Water woes

Drinking water is a perpetual problem for the people in this region.

The situation has become so worse that people have to walk long distance to fetch potable water.  The residents of these region continue to wait with patience to find ‘a way out’.
