Zilla Panchayat Member S N Ramasavami laid foundation stone for the footbridge across Varaganahalla in Bhuvanakote Gram Panchayat in Koppa taluk. The bridge is constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 3 lakh.
The bridge is constructed under Western Ghat Development Project. Speaking on the occasion, S N Ramasavami said the bridge was the long pending dream of the villagers.
A sum of Rs 10.50 lakh has been sanctioned for the drinking water project and road development in Bhuvanakote gram panchayat.
Gram Panchayat president Mohammed urged to initiate measures to solve the problem of drinking water in Nidadalli colony and Basthi temple.
