‘Nobody Can Keep Us From Uniting’
Bangalore, Feb. 11.

Dr Ho Chi Minh, President of North Vietnam, asserted here today that “nobody, no force in the world,” could stop India and his country from uniting completely and freeing themselves from the bondage of imperialists and colonialists, which still existed in both the countries.

He spoke of the age-old relationship between India and Vietnam and said the break came when both went under the foreign voice. He expressed the hope that “now that they had kicked out colonialism from their countries,” they could renew their friendship and co-operation.

New Delhi, Feb. 11.

Finance Minister T T  Krishnamachari has made arrangements to leave for Madras this week-end, it is understood.
Informed quarters believed that his exit from office was now a certainty.

Dacoit Queen Gives Up
Bhind (Madhya Pradesh), Feb. 12.

Dreaded Phoolan Devi and Ghanshyam were among the 26 dacoits who laid down their arms here this morning in an act of surrender which is expected to set the pace for the liquidation of gangs of desperadoes in Central India. Phoolan, 26, looked meek in an IPS officer’s uniform as she climbed up the restrum and placed her 315 bore rifle before a portrait of Goddess Durga.
