Parton to donate breasts to fans

Country music legend Dolly Parton wants to donate her breasts to her fans saying they are so famous they are like "public property", reports IANS from London.

"They do seem like public property in a way. They served me well. I don't know if I'm supporting them or they're supporting me. I've always had nice ones, but, of course, I've had 'em jacked up a bit. And they're part of the persona - it always takes a little pressure off me," she said.

Venice is most romantic city

Venice is the most romantic city in the world, according to a survey. Europe picked up six of the top 10 destinations, with Venice pipping the traditional favourite city of Paris for the top spot, reports UNI from Melbourne. The other cities that made it to the list, in order, are Rome, Vienna and New York. Melbourne was the only Australian destination to make the cut, scoring ninth place.

Spears seen in atrocious clothes

Troubled singer Britney Spears was spotted stepping out of the Millennium Dance Studio in Los Angeles dressed atrociously. Spears was dressed in an inside-out and backwards braless shirt. She also had on torn fishnets with pink underwear worn over tights.  For footwear she had her leather boots unzipped and had no pants on, reports IANS from New York.

Work starts on ‘Green City’

The construction work on the world’s first “green city” has started in the Gulf. Masdar City, on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi City in the United Arab Emirates, will be zero-carbon, zero-waste and car-free, reports PTI From London.

The city will be built at a cost of 11.3 billion pounds over an eight-year period and be home to 50,000 people and 1,500 businesses. It will be powered by solar energy and residents will move in travel pods on magnetic tracks.

Nepal honours Everest heros

Nepal has named an airport in the remote Everest region after pioneering climbers Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, Reuters reports from Kathmandu.

The airstrip  at Lukla, gateway to the world’s highest mountain, would be known as the Tenzing-Hillary airport.
