He took admission in Presidency College at Kempapura, Coffee Board Layout here in 2005 in his original name — Sabauddin Ahmad, son of Shabeer Ahmad, resident of Gandhwar, Pundaul City, Madubani in Bihar.

According to his academic records, he was born on January 1, 1984 and his mother tongue is Hindi.
He did his schooling in Bihar and passed Standard X with 61 per cent marks. He took admission in Quazi Ahmad Inter College in Jale, Darbhanga, Bihar in science stream. It was probably around that time that he got “lured” by Islamic extremists, because his grades fell in the Class 12 exam; he managed to score 52 per cent.

In 2002, Saba reportedly went to Muzaffarabad in PoK for militant training. He returned to India after that but kept visiting Pakistan now and then. In 2004, he was instructed to go to Bangalore and plan terror attacks in the City. Saba took admission in Presidency College in 2005 in BBM.

He mentioned one Mohammed Nadeem-ul-Haq of Vinayaka Layout, Boopasandra as his local guardian. Sabauddin’s academic records prove that he had used the college admission as a ploy to drop anchor in the City.
The college authorities said they were shocked to read about his involvement in terrorist activities and condemned them.

They said that Sabauddin was an irregular student and dropped out of the first semester, after failing in three subjects — Business Economics, Accounting and Management.

“He didn’t turn up after the exams. We wrote a letter to his father in Madhubani and his local guardian here. Neither of them replied. Sabauddin has till date not collected his marks card and transfer certificate,” said the college authorities.

Meanwhile, the Hebbal police on Monday got in touch with the college authorities and sought Sabauddin’s details.
“We are planning to have interviews with the parents and local guardians of outstation students and a letter of recommendation from the previous college of the student, from this academic year to know their background,” they added.

THE LOCAL GUARDIAN

Sabauddin while taking admission in college, mentioned one Mohammed Nadeem-ul-Haq as his local guardian.
Nadeem’s address was given as house #29, 3rd Cross, Vinayaka Layout, Boopasandra, Bangalore 560094.
Deccan Herald tried to trace Nadeem’s address and found that the house belonged to a lawyer.

“Nadeem was my tenant in 2005. He came from Bihar and told me that he had taken admission in Brindavan College. We were then living in a rented house, on the 4th Cross in Vinayaka Layout.

A lot of boys used to visit him and often I saw him getting into an argument with some of them. I grew suspicious of him and asked him to vacate the house. On his plea, I had earlier verbally extended the one-year’s lease agreement with him. Nadeem was irregular in paying the rent. He was reluctant to vacate the house but I persuaded him. He told me that he was joining work in a City firm,” said the lawyer.
