In one day the Lokayukta police arrested four revenue officials in the State on Monday, while accepting bribe for official work.
Sub-registrar, Varthur, Bangalore, S R Vasantha Kumar and document writer K R Srinivas were nabbed by the Lokayukta police while accepting Rs 30,000 from K V Chakravarthi, clerk, AZB Partner Advocates, Lavelle Road to issue three lease deeds pertaining to Cisco and Gold Man Sachs, which were registered on September 5, 2007 and January 13 last year.
In a second complaint, the Lokayukta sleuths arrested Ramesh, senior assistant to the deputy secretary, Land Grant while accepting a bribe of Rs 2,000 from Prakash B Prabha of Balki, Bidar district to clear the final order of land acquisition.
In Pandavapura, Mandya, Revenue Inspector, Thimmaya was arrested while accepting bribe of Rs 2,000 from Raje Gowda, who had approached him to rectify the khata, which was originally in his father Bore Gowda’s name.
