Traffic curbs

In view of ratha yatra on Hosur Lashkar Road, alternative traffic arrangements have been made from 8 pm on Wednesday to 9 am on Thursday. Vehicles from Ashok Nagar will turn right from Anepallya Circle, while those from Madivala will pass through check-post and Dairy Circle. Vehicles from Madivala will turn right from UCO Bank towards Koramangala and those from Koramangala will have turn left towards UCO Bank. Vehicles coming from Koramangala 8th Block will have to pass through National Games road. Vehicles from Dairy Circle will not be allowed to turn right from MICO Layout junction and those from Anepalya and BTS Junction will not be allowed to take left from MICO Link junction.

Passports sent

The RPO has despatched passports with respect to the following series processed at the RPO for the week ending February 8, 2008, where documents are in order. A release from the RPO has asked applicants submitting passport applications at Bangalore-One centres to pay only cash or credit cards towards passport fees.
Applicants are advised to call 1250244 for an automated enquiry status or visit www.kar.nic.in
Series Despatched: A, Date of Submission: January 14; B, January 11; C, January 4; E,  January 30, J, January 28; K, January 31; M, January 7; N, January 22; Q, January 25; R, January 25; Z, December 28.

Cart for disabled

In a bid to enable the physically challenged to easily navigate within the railway station and to transport them, Airtel has donated an `Airtel cart’ to Yeshwantpur station. CEO of Mobile Services, Bharti Airtel Ltd, V Venkatesh presented the cart to Rly Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav on Monday. Call 99025 45012.
