Man ends life
A man, depressed over financial crisis, committed suicide in Kamalanagar on Monday night. The deceased has been identified as Venkatesh (51), a tailor. Venkatesh was the father of four children – two daughters and two sons.
He had reportedly borrowed money for his elder daughter’s marriage and was finding it difficult to repay. To escape from the humiliation by the financiers he lived at his sister’s residence, said the police.
Man robbed
Seeking a drop proved costly for a man who was robbed of his cash and cell phone by four persons in a car on Tuesday morning. Venkateshappa (43), a resident of Mallasandra, had been to Sakhaleshpura to attend a funeral. While returning home near 8th Mile Stone bus stop some four persons in a car offered him lift. They took him to Shettyhalli and robbed him of Rs 9,000 and his phone.
