The Zilla Panchayat had sanctioned Rs 2.5 lakh to construct toilets and borewell for the Higher Primary School attached to the Block Education officer’s office. It was the joint responsibility of  the School Development committee president and the head master to construct the toilets.

The contract was given to a contractor to construct the toilets. However, the task of shifting the materials like sand, bricks and curing of the building has been entrusted to the children attending the schools. The public on seeing this blatant display of using the students, have taken a strong objection and brought it to the notice of the authorities concerned.

They have urged the education department officials to immediately take steps to take necessary action and stop the officials from using the students.
