People cheating the bank is nothing new. But what is striking is the trend is now widely seen even in rural areas.
In a baffling fraud case the father son duo in Kolar have not only utilised the dead man’s name and property but have also made innocent daily wage workers as scapegoat of their sleazy intention and have hoodwinked the bank of Rs 5 lakh.
False documents
Chikkanarayanappa a resident of the Annihalli village got a loan of Rs 5 lakh in 2005-06 by giving false documents to Corporation Bank.
Chikkanarayanappa and his son Kempegowda alleged gave property documents of another Chikkanarayanappa who had died 5 years ago. The deceased Chikkanarayanappa owned 7 acres of land in the village.
The father son duo have alleged given the photo of a daily wage worker as the photo of deceased Chikkanarayanappa and have given the photo of one Choudappa a resident of Chikkaiyyur instead of the photo of Kempegowda whom they claimed to be the son of deceased Chikkanarayanappa.
The daily wage worker, Choudappa and the property of the decease Chikkanarayanappa is now in trouble as bank is now taking action against the defaulters. Due to the fraud the culprits are escaping from the wrath of the law and innocent people are being nailed for no fault of theirs.
Though the fraud as come to the light and bank is in a mood to lodge a formal complaint.
If proper investigations are conducted by the police and bank officials their are chances that innocent people can be saved from the evil deeds of the father son duo.
