Journalist P V Gangi Reddy who had worked as a reporter for a Telugu daily Newspaper for more than 10 years and who had also served as  the president of the taluk unit of the Working Journalist Association died in at his native village Pechchalavaripalli near here on Monday evening. He was 65 years old.

Gangi Reddy who had been suffering from a ailment form past two years died on the day when the death rites of his wife who had died on January 31 was being performed, said family sources. Journalists from the taluk have paid their respect to the departed soul.

Former MLA N Sampangi, KPCC member Chinakayapalli S N Subba Reddy, JD(S) leader D J Nagaraj Reddy, Taluk Municipal Corporation member A N Murty, Bellur Anjaneyaswami temple Dharmadarshi K M Nagaraj, Treasury K S Srinivas,  and others have condoled the death.
