CRICKET / KSCA League
Gritty Kishore does star turn
DH News Service, Bangalore:

City Cricketers (2) recorded a fluent 83-run win over Eleven Brothers’ Cricket Club, Magadi, in the KSCA fifth Division (group I) league championship for JB Mallaradhya Trophy here on Tuesday.

Batting first, City outfit garnered a competitive 270 for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. The highlight of their innings were two well-made half-centuries from Kishore (98), who fell perilously short of a richly deserved hundred by just two runs, and Preetam (80).

For Eleven Brothers’, Uday and Bakash grabbed three wickets apiece, but their effort failed to halt City batsmen’s charge.

In reply, Eleven Brothers’ could manage only 187 before getting bundled out in the 38th over.
