Spurred by a splendid bowling effort by Vatsa, Karnataka Government Secretariat Cricket Club coasted to a six-wicket victory over Triton Sports Club, Mysore, in the KSCA Group II, Division III cricket league on Tuesday.
Batting first, Triton SC were outclassed by Vatsa, who picked up six wickets for 32 runs, and were dismissed for a paltry 94 in 28.4 overs. J Kumara Swamy was an ably ally for Vasta, accounting for three batsmen (3-28).
Chasing the modest target, KGSCC made light of the opponent attack and cruised past the target in just 16.2 overs. Srinindhi top-scored for the winners with a gritty 48. Chandru (2-22) and Mahadeva Swamy (2-18) shared four wickets between them for Triton.
