Speaking at a press meet here on Tuesday, he said Commissioner of Customs (Mangalore) Arvind Singh will inaugurate the tournament, while New Mangalore Port Sports Council President M A Bhaskarachar will preside over the function. NMPT Chairman P Tamilvanan will be present.

Participation

Players from major ports like Chennai, JNPT, Vishakhapatnam, Goa, Kandla and NMPT will participate in this mega tournament. National-level players are expected to prove their talent during the event.

The valedictory function of the Lawn Tennis Tournament will be held on February 16. Mr Tamilvanan will be the chief guest, while Mr Bhaskarachar will preside, he added. Sports Council General Secretary M A Khan was present.
