PEOPLE'S PROBLEM

Closed sports stadium

The football ground at Jogupalya, which produced a lot of national and international players, was renovated in 2006 but remains closed. Though the BBMP has spent several lakhs for the renovation work, a lot of work is still pending.

As announced by the BBMP the works like the raising of compound walls, toilet facility, flood, light system has not been completed by the authorities.

The ground is filled with debris and other waste materials and is not in good condition for playing. Of late this ground is utilised for political and religious meetings. The ground is dug with holes for poles for the political meets.

Will the concerned authorities take suitable action for the completion of work in the ground/stadium at the earliest in the best interest of the sporting community of this area,
